While pressure washing uses high-pressure water to blast away dirt, soft washing takes a more gentle approach. Soft washing is a cleaning process that safely and gently removes dirt, algae, lichens and moss from exterior surfaces using cleaning solutions, detergents and water. Unlike high pressure washing, soft washing is gentle using no water pressure on the surface, making it ideal for most materials.
Pressure washing is certainly more powerful than soft washing but also poses a greater risk of damage, especially on softer materials and grout. However the high water pressure may be needed in certain circumstances to effectively strip away layers of dirt that soft washing may not be able to penetrate.
While soft washing offers an ideal solution for many construction surfaces, pressure washing also has its place for deep cleaning surfaces which cannot otherwise be cleaned with soft washing alone.
SH Treatment - Fast-acting sodium hypochlorite soft wash treatment that rapidly removes black, red, green and yellow staining caused by algae, lichen, fungi & mould. It does not bio-accumulate and the surfactant is fully biodegradable. After use it quickly breaks down into tiny amounts of ordinary salt and water containing no free chlorine leaving the surface brilliantly clean.
Biocide Treatment - Our biocide treats a range of biological growths: algae, lichen, fungi & mould; that cause red, green, yellow and black staining. Over the 6-12 months following treatment the surface returns to somewhere near its original colour as the surface dirt is lifted by the biocide combined with natural weathering of sun, rain and wind. The biocide then repels and slows down future growth.
